affiliate terms and conditions
The following terms apply to the homeprotect affiliate campaign. In addition, any affiliate not directly authorised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) must adhere to the terms and conditions of our Affiliate Program Operating Agreement (PDF, 206 Kb)
Affiliate Websites
- Affiliate websites must not promote illegal activities, violence, discrimination based on race, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, nationality or disability
- Affiliate websites must not use any content obtained directly from Avantia Insurance websites (including but not limited to www.homeprotect.co.uk)
- Affiliate websites must not copy Avantia Insurance websites or be presented in a way that allows it to appear to others as an official Avantia Insurance website
Auditing
- All affiliate websites will be subject to regular auditing to ensure accuracy. Affiliates must update their websites within 7 days of notification.
Commissions
- The homeprotect affiliate scheme pays out on the basis which referring quote resulted in a sale, rather than using cookie-based methodologies such as first click or last click (see the FAQs page for more details of how our tracking / accreditation system works)
- Any affiliates found to be fraudulent will have their commissions reversed, be removed from the program and may face legal action
- Payment will be made monthly if commission totals more than £200 in that month. Commission under £200 will be carried forward and paid when commission totals £200 or more.
PPC
- Affiliates are prohibited from bidding on brand terms within Google, Yahoo and Bing (MSN)
- Affiliates are prohibited from using official Avantia Group URLs, including www.homeprotect.co.uk and www.webmoney.co.uk
- Affiliates are prohibited from using branded URL’s without being given prior consent
- Affiliates are prohibited from linking directly through from search engines
- Affiliates are prohibited from using the term “official” in their search copy
Voucher Codes
- Voucher codes must not be promoted UNLESS given specific permission to use it by Avantia Group
Email
- Email promotions must not be used without prior, written consent from Avantia Group
Copy
- Only approved copy supplied by Avantia Group can be used. Approved copy / artwork must never be altered in any way without prior approval from Avantia Group – Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in your account being suspended and any commissions rejected.
Brand Guidelines
- The affiliate site must contain their own trade mark (word and/or logo) prominently to be clear that the site is not an official Avantia Group website
- Affiliates must use their own privacy policy and contact us links on their landing page to ensure customers know the site is not the official site.
- Affiliates are prohibited from hard coding banner creative and should use creative dynamically updated through Avantia Group’s own affiliate networks (powered by Post Affiliate Pro).
- Please use the official logo provided within your affiliate account.
- If you refer to any of the trading styles of Avantia Group (i.e. homeprotect), always write ‘homeprotect’ ’, never ‘Home Protect’.
Avantia Group reserve the right to modify the terms of this agreement or exclude any affiliate from the affiliate program should the terms and conditions be breached. Affiliates will be notified immediately of any change.
