Personal Possessions cover

To insure your valuables away from home - such as clothes, jewellery, cameras, and sports equipment - then you'll need Personal Possessions cover.

Add Personal Possessions cover to your policy today

Contents insurance will cover you for things that you usually keep at home. But what happens if you lose or damage your valuable items, or have them stolen, whilst you are away from the home? Personal Possessions cover will cover you whilst away from home. So if you leave your camera or coat in a taxi, lose your sports equipment on holiday or lose a ring or jewellery on the sports field or gym, then you'll be covered. It's there to help when you're out and about.

Why choose Personal Possessions cover

Personal Possessions cover insures a whole family that lives at the same address. So if you took it out, all your family's possessions would be covered away from home. It covers you in the UK throughout the policy term and anywhere outside the UK for up to 90 days during the policy term.

To work out how much cover you'd need, add up the value of all of the things you and your family take outside. Don't forget clothes and jewellery. Anything worth over £1,500 needs to be individually listed.

You can also insure your bicycles, portable computers, gadgets and mobile phones, although please ensure that you specify these individually when you set your policy up.

So to make sure you're covered when away from your home, don't forget to add Personal Possessions cover to your policy when you get your HomeProtect quote.
