How to enable JavaScript for PC computers

Internet Explorer

  • Click the Gear icon in the top right corner. Alternatively, click Tools in the menu bar. Select Internet Options from the menu.
  • Click the Security tab. Click “Custom level” button at the bottom of the window. The Security Settings box will pop up.
  • Scroll down to the Scripting category. Click the Enable option under “Active scripting”. This will allow Internet Explorer to show JavaScript elements on the page.
  • Click OK twice to close the Internet Options window. Click the Refresh button to reload the webpage.


Google Chrome

  • Click the Chrome menu button. This button is located in the upper-right corner of the Chrome window
  • Select Settings.
  • Click the “Show advanced settings” link.
  • Click the “Content settings…” button, located in the Privacy section. A new window will open.
  • Scroll to the JavaScript section. Ensure that “Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)” is switched on.
  • Check your exceptions. If the website you are trying to load was added to the exceptions list, Chrome will prevent it from loading JavaScript even though it is enabled in the browser. Click the “Manage exceptions…” button and then look for any websites that you want to run JavaScript on. Change the "Behaviour" menu to "Allow", or delete the entry.


Mozilla Firefox

  • Click the Firefox menu and select "Add-ons" to see what extensions you have installed. This will open the Add-ons Manager.
  • Click the Extensions tab on the left side of the window.
  • Select the extension that is blocking your JavaScript and click the Disable or Remove button.
  • Restart Firefox. Click Refresh on the website page.


Safari

  • Click on the Cog icon at the top of your browser and select "Preferences" and then click the "Security tab"
  • Check the "Enable JavaScript" box. Click Refresh on the website page.

  • Select ‘Menu' from top of browser and Select Settings. Or you can use "alt+p" shortcut. If you don’t have an Opera menu and instead have a traditional menu bar, click Tools.
  • Click Website. At the Javascript section, ensure that “Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)” is toggled on.
  • Refresh the web page.
