Earlier today, HomeProtect was pleased to welcome local MP, James Berry, to our offices in Kingston. Accompanied by Councillor Rowena Bass, Mr Berry was taken on a behind-the-scenes tour of the company and spoke with staff across several departments.
On meeting Mark Eastham, CEO at Homeprotect, Mr Berry was given an introduction to the company – a local, home-grown business that has been based in Kingston for many years.
Mark also spoke of how Homeprotect is a technology-driven business. By using technology, complex algorithms to determine risk and years of experience, we are able to provide online quotes for some of the most complicated property situations in the market. One such situation is flood risk.
With Mr Berry’s visit coming just days after the launch of Flood Re, of which Homeprotect is a strong supporter, Head of Product Alex Parker-Walklate was able to demonstrate how the company is now able to cover more houses at risk of flooding than was previously possible.
The Flood Re insurance scheme enables insurance providers to offer hundreds of thousands of UK properties in flood risk areas access to more affordable cover. Flood Re expects some 350,000 homes will benefit from the scheme.
